We facilitate a "direct hire" relationship between you and your caregiver(s) by giving you all of the tools, forms, procedures, knowledge, and coaching.

About Us

My passion for this business was born at about the time that my daughter was born.  At that time, the rest of my life came into clear focus and I realized that she will one day be taking care of her parents. As the mother of an only child, but not an only child myself, I realized that there may be extra burdens on her by having to take care of two parents. After becoming a parent, it is amazing how differently one looks at their future. With this realization, my husband and I spent many nights talking about how we wanted our life to look. We thought about our aging parents and how the rest of their lives would look.

My husband had lost his father to a stroke. He spent the last few years of his life in a home, with my mother-in-law spending all day at the facility with him to ensure that he was well taken care of and surrounded by the people he loved. Listening to my husband’s story hurt my heart.  It pains me to think that the last years of anyone’s life have to be spent somewhere other than the home they’ve spent their entire lives working for.

I began worrying about decisions my daughter may have to make. I have type 1 diabetes and also struggle with an autoimmune disease.  She may be faced with difficult questions one day concerning the care of her parents.  Will she have to choose between her work and taking care of her parents? Will she have to choose between her own family and taking care of her parents?  This realization awakened in me a passion for helping families to navigate the difficult questions and decisions that are faced by so many who are trying to care for aging parents and loved ones.

I am committed to do my best to help those who need this kind of support.  It’s for this reason that I am very proud to work with Hallmark Homecare.  I take great pride in the opportunity to connect with families and help them navigate through the tough decisions of caring for family members as they age or have the need for some assistance around the home. To help someone stay in their home as long as they wish, to help find the joys in the little things each, to help preserve family traditions and memories longer … after all, isn’t that what life is all about?
